We have been immersed in the color Red. We started our week painting our play dough and pouring red glitter on it.
Later that day, we review red and practiced our matching skills. Morah Perel put out three color circles and each child got a turn to match a red food to the correct circle.
We also went to the grocery store to look for red foods. Before we went we discussed how we are to behave in a grocery store. We walk with our feet, no running. Our hands are down by our sides and not touching anything. Our ears are listening to Morah. We did an absolutely super job!
On Tuesday, we began our day with a free art collage using red materials. The children learned how to use the glue properly and to open their minds to creativity!
After playtime, we got to taste the Red pomegranate that we had bought in the grocery store. Then we painted using the pomegranate seeds. This activity worked on their fine motor skills and helped them experiment with science.
